Sunday Stills~ History

Sunday Stills this week is to take a walk into the past, at least 60 years past. A month or so ago I went to a trail drive. You may remember that. On my way how home I stopped and took some pictures of a historical marker. You can read about it here, I am not sure if the sign is 60 years old or not, but the stone one below is. If you click on the sign you will get a bigger picture, easier to read. Here is another marker of the event. A sad moment in history for Wisconsin.
I love these brown signs. They are all over Wisconsin marking historical happening. When ever we see one we stop and read them.

Sunday Stills

This week's Sunday Stills: Barns

Some of the barns in my area.

A sad barn:

And a very happy barn:

I am adding this as there have been a few questions about this last barn. Here is a little history about putting quilt patterns on barns. I am not sure if this quilt is part of the Kentucky/National Trail or not but it is a growing trend. This farm had another quilt on another barn, but as I was taking photos from the car, I couldn't get a good shot. Where I get my hay has sunflower quit, and out in western Wisconsin there are more, but were too far away for me to go and get.

Sunday Stills

Sunday Stills this week is just a pot luck.
Another Texas Thunder shot:Muddy, I just think Abby has a cute expression here. Something along the lines of. . . "What the hell are you doing on the ground in the mud?":

Sunday Stills~ Hands

It is Sunday again. This week we were just given the topic of hands.Zoe and I paw-in-hand

A gentle pat: Remington Steele and my mom
Finally, a different meaning of hand: a unit of measure equal to 4 inches (10.2 centimeters) used especially for the height of horses
A 16.3 hh horse

Sunday Stills

Sunday Still this week is a day in the life of . . . me.
We could only choose 4!! Well that is tough, it has been a long week.
It started off with this. Morning and night for a goat. She is doing well now. Thankfully I am done giving shots for now.
Every morning starts off with hay, it ends with hay, and has some hay in the middle. I drive the lawn tractor and deliver hay to the horses and goats.
No matter what I do I have diet coke. It is a bad habit, I know but it is every where. Here we have some in the barn. I would love to say that I had to go in the house and bring the coke out for the picture, but no, it was already there.

Finally I had to do some work in the pasture. I got lots of help from Abby, Sophie, and Dominick. Dom is trying to figure out how to spread the seed, Sophie is checking to see if I have enough seed down. I think Abby was making sure that the lawn tractor was working properly. LOTS of help from those three.

Sunday Stills

I am going to try some Sunday Stills. I hope I am doing this correctly. It looks like I just have to take some stills based on a topic. This week fruit.
